Intertwined

About

Welcome to the first online sociology forum!

Hi there, www! This forum has been created by a curious mind with a background in sociology. I often find myself lost in thoughts that I would love to discuss, share, and debate. I enjoy building knowledge in good company, together with more curious minds, and this is why I created Intertwined 🌐.

Let’s get that grey matter movin’

This is an online sociology forum, focused on interpersonal dynamics and social networks. Here, we facilitate healthy discussions for the sake of learning and sharing knowledge – so we can leave our pride at home ;).

If you feel like sharing something amazing you have just learnt, feel free to write it so we begin a conversation in the Forum. If you are stuck with doubts or concerns during your PhD or Master’s, you can count on our community to help out. This could lead to collaborations between curious minds perhaps!

Last but not least, this is also a space that does not sympathise with fake news. So we like citing articles or clearly stating that we are writing our own opinions if we do so. And yes, we love to hear (informed) opinions!

The ultimate goal is to enjoy our virtual conversations and the process, to challenge each other for the pleasure of learning. Disagreeing, making mistakes and changing our minds is very welcome.

Help me challenge a culture in which we cling to the information that suits us best, not what is objectively most valuable.

For you, a curious mind with an interest in sociology and research. If you love researching (even if you don’t do it professionally), debating, and connecting with folks who are into social science, this is your virtual place.

Regardless of the area you come from, linking sociological knowledge with other sciences or disciplines is also fabulous! So I encourage you to participate no matter what your background is.

This is for you, whose middle names are respect and tolerance. We are here to cooperate.

By the way, have you ever considered the beauty of the concept “world wide web” itself?
